Introducing our new designed Fret Bender / Un-bender, it can bend and straighten either bulk fret wire or pre-cut short piece fret wire precisely and fast. There are 5 different radius gauges on the top and two side edges, allows you to measure the radius of the fretwire more efficiently. Radius 7.25", 9.5", 12" 14" and 16" are marked. Made of hard coated aluminum.
For Bending fret wire, use those 2 rollers that under the big black wheel (The default assembly you received). And for un-bending, use included allen key to remove the right side roller and mount it in the top left threaded hole. The radius of fret wire can be adjusted by turning the thumbwheel on the top.
Made of Aluminum, it can be mounted to the workbench by using provided 2 screws. Allen key included.

Well-built, solid quality - a SM killer :-) Mounted up in flash with some 3/4" ply scraps and love the handy design with the integrated radii sides!

Really quality product! For the price, absolutely amazing! I recommend to anyone who needs it!
So at a third the cost of St**M**, this device bends fretwire well, including EVO. It has two excellent additional features: the ability to straighten fretwire (yeah, I overdid it first try, but no worries) and the radius guides on the edges (genius!). Since fretwire varies in its dimensions, all these devices require trial and error settings, and these two additional features are wonderful advantages. The only con that I've notice is that the black paint started wearing off after the first 6 feet of fretwire. As to durability we'll see.
I looked at making one of these, but for no more than this cost, it didn't seem to make sense to do so. So happy I didn't mess around gathering up parts and then spending more time building a tool instead of building an instrument. The bender is super easy to use and does a perfect job. I started with straight sticks of wire and was happy to see that I can carry the bend very close to the end of the wire. I'll probably attach it to a piece of wood with the included screws so I can hold it in my vice, but it was no problem at all just holding it in my hands. Certainly one of my better tool purchases!
