The Digital Nut Slotting Gauge is designed to accurately measure string height over the 1st fret, helping you determine and fine-tune nut slot depth with greater precision.
Because nut slot height is most accurately evaluated at the first fret, this gauge is ideal for nut setup and adjustment. For measuring string action farther up the neck, we recommend using our String Action Gauge.
The digital indicator features:
- Zero button for quick calibration
- Inch / millimeter switch
- Resolution: 0.0005" / 0.01 mm
The brass base fits over the strings and rests directly on the fretboard. Its gently curved bottom follows the radius of most fretboards for stable and consistent measurements.
The Guitar Version is suitable for most acoustic and electric guitars, mandolins, and banjos.
The Bass Version features a larger brass base designed to accommodate wider bass string spacing.
The Guitar Version and Bass Version are complete tools and include both the digital indicator and the brass base.
The diameter of the indicator mounting hole is 3/8".
